PL Residential Building

The geometry of the site — a narrow rectangular plot measuring approximately 21 by 52 metres — has strongly influenced the compositional approach of the project. Through the interplay of volumes and cantilevered elements, the design seeks to emphasise the horizontal development of the plot. This horizontal articulation is clearly expressed on the south-east façade through a large projecting loggia clad in timber slats and a cantilevered frame at third-floor level, which defines the patios and the continuous ribbon windows of the residential units. Similarly, on the north-west façade, the horizontal emphasis is reinforced by the extensive glazed surfaces of the commercial spaces at ground level.

Balancing this horizontal composition, a large structural glazed façade encloses the staircase and lift core, visually expressing the vertical circulation elements from the exterior. The overall compositional complexity, both in plan and elevation, is unified by the ventilated façade cladding, which features a metal mesh with geometric patterns, providing a coherent and refined architectural identity.
