STATUS
At the core of this mediation is the living area, defined by two large sliding glass panels that retract fully into wall pockets, transforming the space into a covered veranda. This allows for a simultaneous visual and physical connection with both the sea and the mountain, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior.
A wooden pergola extends the living space outward, providing a contemplative platform from which to experience the surrounding landscape. The night area, housed in a slightly offset volume, includes a master bedroom that opens towards the sea stacks through a large panoramic window, framing a direct visual dialogue with the coastal scenery.
A series of terraced platforms mediates the change in elevation between the house and a partially recessed infinity pool, which acts as an optical instrument — its reflective surface mirroring the natural elements and light of Scopello’s landscape. The result is a residence in equilibrium, where architecture, nature, and perception merge in a continuous, serene composition.
